THE PROJECT:
The Sefton Project featured an impressive brick veneer double storey. In order to avoid flooding on the property, our team were instructed to elevate the building by 1.50 m above the ground over brick piers, and subsequently suspend a concrete slab to construct a double-storey house out of Brick Veneer on the site.
THE BRIEF:
Following multiple design consultations, our team’s requirement called for the construction of an elegant two-story house with a two-car garage over a flood plain while avoiding any compromises to the aesthetics of the house.
THE CHALLENGE:
The challenge in this environment was to ensure that the project met all the requirements of the Building Code in order to obtain the Final Occupation Certificate.
